We offer Flute lessons in the cantons ZH, ZG, AG, LU, SZ. Our flute curriculum guides the student in becoming confident and enthusiastic about becoming the best flute player and musician that they can possibly be.
Our mission is developing our students into highly efficient learners and teaching students how to think confidently when expressing themselves musically on the flute.

Students have total flexibility to study exactly what they want. They can learn from the material that is most relevant to them. The student will with a help and suggestions from a teacher select their own repertoire to study.

Students will:

• get to know the flute and its characteristics
• develop a sense for accurate rhythm and intonation
• play scales, chords, etudes and suitable compositions with piano accompaniment
• nourish music memory and learn how to play from the sheet music
• learn how to shape tone and tone connections, and characteristics of the sound
• get to know the basics of agogics and dynamics
• getting familiar with the compositions from various stylistic eras
• perform their own compositions
• play simple duets, trios, quartets
• play with other instrument(s)
• perform in recitals (are optional, but highly recommended)
• participate in simple music games
• get familiar with improvisation

More advanced topics such as:

• further development of technical and musical elements, which will start to form connections with aural-aesthetic processes
• playing advanced etudes and compositions
• melodic and rhythmic phrase analysis
• playing by ear
• shaping the musical expression with the use of suitable dynamics, sound, colour, agogics and articulation
• playing music of various expressions and stylistic eras
• perform in recitals (are optional, but highly recommended)
• chamber music with other instruments
• complex creation of their own compositions, developing the musical ideas
• improvisation with various music expressions

We prepare our students for ABRSM flute exams.
